2021-22 ARGC Proseminar Schedule

The 2021–22 American Religions in a Global Context Proseminar schedule is here! This year we are delighted to welcome as our special guests:

Alexis Wells-Oghoghomeh, author of The Souls of Womenfolk: The Religious Cultures of Enslaved Women in the Lower South (Dec 2, 2021)

Emily Suzanne Clark, author of A Luminous Brotherhood: Afro-Creole Spiritualism in Nineteenth-Century New Orleans (Mar 10, 2022)

Rachel B. Gross, author of Beyond the Synagogue: Jewish Nostalgia as Religious Practice (spring 2022, date TBA)

The Proseminar will be held 3 times per quarter, from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursdays. In addition to the special guests above, enrolled students and other participants will have the opportunity to workshop their own work in progress.
